Visitantes en el Aula:
Según la política del distrito, si un padre desea visitar el salón de clases, debe recibir la aprobación del maestro con al menos 24 horas de anticipación. Esto incluye a todos los maestros especiales.
Comida en el Aula:
Si desea traer un refrigerio especial al salón de clases, debe comprarlo en la tienda y tener los ingredientes claramente etiquetados. Debe comunicarse con el maestro con anticipación para recibir permiso para traer golosinas de celebración de cumpleaños. La oficina no podrá comunicarse con el maestro el día de la celebración. No puede presentarse sin permiso para dejar golosinas de cumpleaños y/o visitar el salón de clases el mismo día.

Este año estamos buscando utilizar nuestras cuentas de redes sociales para compartir nuestra historia de IPA. Estaré haciendo rondas durante todo el año para publicar a nuestros estudiantes en acción en nuestras plataformas de redes sociales.

Centro de Acceso de Notas (6-8):
Estamos trabajando con la compañía en Home Access Center (HAC) para que las familias verifiquen las calificaciones de los estudiantes. Actualmente hay una falla en el sistema. Como solución alternativa, las familias pueden hacer que los estudiantes inicien sesión en sus cuentas para verificar las calificaciones. Enlazado aquí hay instrucciones para el acceso de los estudiantes. .
Salida temprano el lunes 12 de septiembre:
Recuerde que todos los estudiantes de K-8 en IPA salen temprano el lunes 12 de septiembre. Todos los que viajan en automóvil/caminantes deben ser recogidos ese día antes de las 12:30 p. m. Kids Plus tendrá programación de 12:05 p. m. a 6:00 p. m. en los días de salida temprana.
Todos los estudiantes de K-8 tendrán su tiempo regular de recreo y almuerzo en los días de salida temprano. El horario se modificará para garantizar que a todos los estudiantes se les sirva el almuerzo antes de la salida.
Si va a cambiar el transporte de su estudiante en un día de salida temprano, debe notificar a la oficina antes de las 11 a. m. de ese mismo día.
Nuestro próximo día de salida temprano será el lunes 3 de octubre.
Día de la foto escolar:
Todos los estudiantes de IPA se tomarán fotografías en la escuela el 28 de septiembre. Los paquetes de fotos se enviarán a casa la semana anterior en mochilas si las familias desean pedir fotos. También se enviará un enlace para realizar pedidos en línea. Si envía dinero, debe ser la cantidad exacta en efectivo y/o un cheque por la cantidad exacta. No se dará ningún cambio y el pedido no se procesará si su pago no coincide con la cantidad exacta. Los estudiantes pueden entregar los formularios de pedido a los maestros de nivel de grado y de asesoramiento. El día de la foto será un día sin uniforme.
Plazo para el examen de la vista:
Los exámenes de la vista para todos los estudiantes de kínder y nuevos en el distrito vencen el 15 de octubre de 2022. Si desea hablar sobre recursos para citas, llame a nuestra oficina principal al 217-351-3995 y pida hablar con Diana Zarco, Asistente/ secretaria de salud
Llevar a los estudiantes al salón de clases:
Ya no permitimos que los padres acompañen a sus estudiantes a sus salones de clases por la mañana en este momento del año escolar. Si está acompañando a su estudiante a la escuela, puede dejarlo en la puerta principal y tendrá que caminar a la clase desde allí. Esto ayuda al flujo de tráfico en el edificio al comienzo del día. Si desea visitar el salón de clases o hablar con el maestro, llame a nuestra oficina al 217-351-3995 para enviarle un mensaje al maestro.

We hope everyone has had a great week! Please find important updates below for the upcoming week.
Visitors in the Classroom:
Per district policy, if a parent would like to visit the classroom, the parent must receive approval from the teacher at least 24 hours in advance. This includes all specials teachers.
Food in the Classroom:
If you are wanting to bring a special snack to the classroom, it must be store bought and have the ingredients clearly labeled. You must contact the teacher ahead of time to receive permission to bring birthday celebration treats. The office will not be able to contact the teacher the day of the celebration. You may not show up without permission to drop off birthday treats and/or visit the classroom on the same day.
Social Media Accounts:
This year we are looking to utilize our social media accounts to share our IPA story. I will be making rounds throughout the year to post our students in action on our social media platforms.

Home Access Center (6-8):
We are working with the company on Home Access Center (HAC) for families to check student grades. There is currently a glitch in the system. As a work around, families can have students log into their accounts to check grades. Linked here are instructions for student access.
Early Dismissal on Monday, September 12th:
Please remember that all K-8 students at IPA dismiss early on Monday, September 12th. All car riders/walkers must be picked up that day by 12:30pm. Kids Plus will have programming from 12:05p.m.-6:00p.m. on early dismissal days.
All K-8 students will have their regular amount of recess and lunch time on early dismissal days. The schedule will be altered to ensure all students are served lunch prior to dismissal.
If you are changing your student’s transportation on an early out day, you must notify the office by 11am that same day.
Our next early dismissal day will be Monday, October 3rd.
School Picture Day:
All IPA students will be getting their pictures taken at school on September 28th. Picture packets will be going home the week before in backpacks if families would like to order pictures. A link will also be sent to order online. If you are sending money, it must be either the exact amount in cash and/or a check for the exact amount. No change will be given and the order will not be processed if your payment does not match the exact amount. Students can hand in order forms to grade level and advisory teachers. Picture day will be a non-uniform day.
Vision Exam Deadline:
Vision exams for all Kinder and students new-to-district are due October 15, 2022. If you would like to speak about appointment resources, please call our main office at 217-351-3995 and ask to speak to Diana Zarco, Attendance/Health Secretary.
Walking Students to Classroom:
We are no longer allowing parents to walk their students into their classrooms in the morning at this point in the school year. If you are walking your student up to the school, you may leave them at the front door and they will need to walk to class from there. This helps traffic flow in the building at the beginning of the day. If you would like to visit the classroom or speak to the teacher, please call our office at 217-351-3995 to get a message to the teacher.
